c. Making contact by e-mail
When you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (your e-mail address, your name and telephone number if applicable, the content of your message) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer required, or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.
The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, insofar as it concerns the initiation of a contractual relationship and our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, insofar as it concerns other inquiries.
d. HubSpot
We use the HubSpot service on our website, which is provided by our processor HubSpot Germany GmbH, Am Postbahnhof 17, 10243 Berlin and its US parent company HubSpot Inc (hereinafter "HubSpot").
HubSpot also transfers the data to countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area (so-called third countries). For some of these third countries, in particular the United States of America (hereinafter "USA"), no adequate level of data protection has been established by the European Commission. These third countries therefore do not offer data protection law that is comparable to that of the European Union. The appropriate guarantees for the transfer of data to third countries are achieved through the conclusion of so-called EU standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR, which - where necessary - have been supplemented by additional measures.
We use HubSpot for the following specific purposes:
Newsletter
On our website, we offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter, which we use to inform you at regular intervals about our products and the latest news with the help of HubSpot. All you need is your e-mail address. Optionally, you can enter your title, first name and surname so that we can address you personally in the newsletter.
In addition to sending the newsletter, we also measure success, i.e. the newsletters contain a so-called web beacon, a small pixel that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened. The information obtained with the help of the web beacon is used to determine your reading behavior based on the retrieval locations and access times. Through this performance measurement, we also know whether you have opened the newsletter, when you opened the newsletter and which links were clicked. This data is not evaluated individually, but only in aggregated form, i.e. we try to find out in general (and not specifically related to you) what reading habits and interests the newsletter subscribers have. Details of the categories of data processed for this purpose can be found below under Marketing analysis.
Please note that we also register you for our newsletter using the so-called double opt-in procedure and log this registration for the newsletter in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation as well as the IP address. In order to be able to provide this proof even after you have unsubscribed from the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address and the registration data for up to three years after you unsubscribe.
Your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time, for example in the case of a newsletter via HubSpot via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The only exception is the processing of your data in order to be able to prove your consent in the so-called double opt-in procedure. The legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in proving registration and defending against claims by data subjects.
Contact form
When you contact us via the contact form, the data you provide (your e-mail address, your name, your telephone number and the content of your message) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions.
Marketing analysis
We use HubSpot to analyze our marketing activities when you visit our website or subscribe to our newsletter. So-called "web beacons" are used and cookies are stored on the device you are using. The information collected and the content of our website are stored on HubSpot servers and analyzed in order to constantly optimize the website and make it more user-friendly. We also use the information to determine which of our services are of interest to customers and newsletter subscribers and to contact them for advertising purposes.
As part of the optimization of our marketing measures, the following data may be collected and processed via Hubspot:
- Geographical location
- Browser type
- Navigation information
- Reference URL
- Performance data
- Domain names
- Pages viewed
- Aggregated usage
- Version of the operating system
- Internet service provider
- IP address
- Device identifier
- Duration of the visit
- Operating system
- Events that occur within the application
- Access times
- Clickstream data
- Device model and version
The cookies have a standard lifetime of 13 months. In addition, we delete the personal data collected via HubSpot as soon as the purpose for which it was collected has been achieved, unless statutory retention periods prevent deletion.
Your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
e. Content order
On our website, we offer the option of ordering or participating in content (e-books, white papers, guides, events, webinars) without having to pay a fee. In this case, the consideration for the content is your consent to receive a newsletter subscription and the associated data processing. The processing of your personal data when subscribing to our newsletter is explained in detail under "d. Hubsport - Newsletter". The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this case, in addition to letter "d.", is the fulfillment of the existing contract with you (provision of content against consent to data processing for the newsletter subscription) in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on "Unsubscribe newsletter" at the end of the respective newsletter.
f. Google Analytics
Our website uses the web analysis service Google Analytics 4 from our processor Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google").
Google Analytics 4 uses JavaScript, pixels and cookies (see above under "Cookies") to store and read information on your end device. The data collected is summarized in pseudonymous user profiles and used to evaluate website usage and website activity. The purpose of the processing is therefore to measure reach and evaluate visitor activity. Google Analytics 4 also uses machine learning functions to automatically analyze and enrich the data. Further information on this can be found here https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9443595?hl=de and here https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
The following data can be processed as part of Google Analytics 4:
- IP address;
- User ID and device ID;
- Referrer URL (previously visited page);
- Pages accessed (date, time, URL, title, duration of visit);
- downloaded files;
- clicked links to other websites;
- Achievement of specific goals (conversions);
- technical information (operating system; browser type, version and language; device type, brand, model and resolution)
- approximate location (country, region and, if applicable, city, based on anonymized IP address).
Please note that your IP address is automatically anonymized and not stored by Google. The data collected that could possibly be linked to you will be deleted 14 months after collection.
The collected data is usually sent to a Google server in the United States of America (USA) and stored there. There is no general adequacy decision by the European Commission for the USA that certifies that the USA has an adequate level of data protection. By transferring your personal data, there is a risk that US authorities will access it and process it for their own purposes. The USA therefore does not offer data protection law that is comparable to that of the European Union. The appropriate guarantees for the transfer of data to the USA are achieved by concluding so-called EU standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR. In addition, we also obtain your express consent for the transfer of your data to third countries in accordance with Art. 49 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
The legal basis for this processing and the transfer of your personal data to the USA is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a and Art. 49 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
If you have not given us your consent when visiting this website, Google Analytics will not be used by you. If you have given us your consent, you have the option of withdrawing your consent at any time. This is possible, for example, by adjusting your data protection settings for this website by accessing your cookie settings here and changing your selection there. This will set a cookie that prevents the further collection of this information when you visit our website.
g. LinkedIn Insight Tag
We use LinkedIn Insight Tag from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter "LinkedIn Tag") to enable detailed campaign reports and to obtain information about visitors to our website in order to track conversions and/or retarget our website visitors.
This LinkedIn tag collects the following data: page views on our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics (user agent) and timestamp. The IP addresses are shortened or (if they are used to reach members across devices) hashed. The members' direct identifiers are removed within seven days in order to pseudonymize the data. This remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 90 days. This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days.
The data is also transmitted by LinkedIn Tag to countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area (so-called third countries). 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR, which have been supplemented by additional measures in each case.
LinkedIn Tag does not share any personal data with us, but only provides reports and notifications (in which you are not identified) about the website target group and ad performance. We therefore do not have access to the above-mentioned data about you.
You can find more information on data protection at LinkedIn Tag in the LinkedIn privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
The legal basis for this data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
h. Facebook Pixel
Functions of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), are used within our online offering.
We use the Facebook pixel function to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the display of ads on Facebook (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion"). The legal basis for this processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have not given us your consent when visiting this website, these Facebook functions will not be used when you visit our website. If you have given us your consent, you have the option of withdrawing your consent at any time. This is possible, for example, by making an adjustment, whichsets a cookie that prevents the further collection of this information when you visit our website.
Your data will also be transferred to Facebook in the United States of America ("USA") for these purposes. The European Union has not established an adequate level of data protection for the USA. The appropriate guarantees for the transfer of data to third countries are achieved by concluding so-called EU standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR.
You can find Facebook's data usage policy here: https://www.facebook.com/policy. Specific information and details about the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help. In addition to the opt-out options described above, you can also make settings for usage-based advertising directly on the page set up by Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings. These settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
i. Online marketing
We use service providers to market advertising space on the Internet.
These are currently the services Google Ads and the Google Ad Manager of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Further information on the services and the privacy policy can be found here: https://marketingplatform.google.com and here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
As part of these online marketing measures, personal data may also be processed in that user profiles are created by these service providers. As a rule, however, neither we nor the service providers of these online marketing measures know your actual identity, but only the information stored in the profiles. We only create a cookie for you as described above, which registers the success or a sale based on the advertising space. This only gives us regular access to summarized information about the success of our advertisements and so-called conversions, i.e. whether an online marketing measure has led to the conclusion of a contract with us.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Please note that this only applies to the data processing for which we are responsible and that the service providers may have their own legal basis, for example your consent in the context of registration on a platform.
If you have not given us your consent when visiting this website, we will not use any procedure that allows us or the service providers to analyze or measure conversions via our website. If you have given us your consent, you have the option of withdrawing your consent at any time. This is possible, for example, by adjusting your data protection settings for this website by clicking on Cookies at the bottom of the footer.
j. Google reCAPTCHA
Websites with registration and contact options are often used by automated third-party programs (so-called bots) to send advertising or infiltrate malicious code via the website. To prevent this, we use Google reCAPTCHA on our website to check and prevent such bots. Google reCAPTCHA therefore determines whether the data entry on our website (e.g. in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated program. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter "Google").
You can find Google's privacy policy here https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Data processing by us does not take place. Google is responsible for data processing. Further information on the processing of your data by Google can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
m. Cookie consent
To obtain your consent to cookies and similar technologies, we use the consent management tool Cookiebot from Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark (together "Cookiebot"). Cookiebot determines which cookies are used by our website and whether you have given or withdrawn your consent to the use of these cookies. This enables us to prevent cookies and similar technologies from being used if you have not given your consent. The cookie set by Cookiebot, which stores your preference settings, has a lifespan of one year.
The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, as we have a legitimate interest in being able to comply with the legal requirements of the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive through technical measures.
