Solution
Development of a highly available, scalable telematics platform for controlling and optimizing vehicle fleets through value-added services. The fail-safe cloud solution, which can be expanded at any time, collects data from telematics systems - and analyzes it in real time. This allows potential hazards to be identified automatically.
Telematics value-added services platform
With this key objective in mind, prodot was commissioned by Kienzle Automotive to develop a highly available telematics portal in the cloud. The portal is designed in such a way that it evaluates client-based data and events independently of the telematics provider and then provides corresponding reports or triggers processes.
Alarm portal: Monitoring the vehicle fleet
The alarm portal supports the proper execution of dangerous goods transports, passenger transports or the transportation of valuable goods and helps to ensure that the relevant company guidelines are adhered to.
For this purpose, all information sources relevant to the company are automatically read, aggregated and immediately evaluated in real time. With the help of appropriate rules, important events relating to driving behavior or the vehicle fleet are immediately visible.
- Fast: The alarm portal constantly compares important data. Within very short reaction times, the portal alerts you to speeding, positive alcohol tests, excessive braking delays or other special events.
- Secure: A highly available infrastructure ensures compliance with strict service level agreements (SLAs).
- Expandable: The platform can be scaled quickly and easily as the number of vehicles and events to be monitored increases. The user determines who should receive which information and when. Different vehicle types and multiple recipients of messages can be selected in the system at any time.
- Reliable: Complete traceability of events and notifications by SMS and/or e-mail.

Monitoring of clearing and gritting vehicles - this also makes it easy to meet accountability requirements.
- Route planning: Exact comparison of target and actual routes
- Reports: Detailed reports on cleared routes, gritting volumes and deployments
- Information: Faster processing of information from citizens by municipal employees
Optimization of driving performance and economy
Kienzle Driver Scoring as an evaluation system for driving behavior actively contributes to reducing fuel consumption and optimizing maintenance and repair costs.
The scoring is based on an individual system of key figures, which in turn is based on the personal usage and vehicle profiles for each client. Drivers can view their personal scoring at any time via the Driver Scoring App and thus have the opportunity to actively adapt their driving behavior.
- Scores: Individual driving behavior is recorded on the basis of specific requirements and evaluated using a system of key figures. The calculation takes safety, performance and economy into account.
- App: All people involved in the continuous improvement process receive the information relevant to them. Drivers, for example, can conveniently access their individual key figures via an app.
